Plenty of greenery from Vinhomes Ocean Park
Every day, urban inhabitants gravitate towards eco-friendly megacities located in satellite and suburban regions in their quest for a lifestyle that aligns with nature. Among them, the most prominent is the Vinhomes Ocean Park project.
The tendencies observed in the real estate industry
In the Asia-Pacific region, numerous real estate enterprises are now aiming for zero greenhouse gas emissions, leading to the emergence of ecological megacities like Fujisawa (Japan) and Dongtan (Shanghai, China). This trend has also extended to cities and countries, with Singapore being a prime example. With around 300 parks and 9,000 hectares of greenery, Singapore's green space covers about 50% of its land area, making it a role model for many cities worldwide in terms of desirable green area ratios.
The trend of eco-friendly real estate is also gaining momentum in Vietnam. Apart from supporting the government in meeting its commitments at COP26, the development of eco-cities with ample greenery that promote health and well-being is also driven by the demands of the people. As per a report on consumer psychology and real estate index in Vietnam published on batdongsan.com.vn, 61% of survey respondents expressed their preference for residing near green spaces and gardens, while 45% are seeking to relocate to less populated suburban areas.
The "green oasis" in the heart of the city - Vinhomes Ocean Park
Vietnam has seen a number of real estate companies taking the lead in developing truly eco-friendly megacities that cater to the ever-increasing demands of their customers.
When discussing the emergence of eco-friendly real estate in the southern region, it is important to highlight Phu My Hung in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City as a pioneer. This project was one of the first to adopt a low construction density approach, with just 26% of the total area of over 433 hectares being developed.
The living environment in Phu My Hung stands out due to its ability to strike a balance between the river, spanning over 50 hectares, and approximately 124 hectares of parks and green spaces. With an average green space of around 8.9 square meters per person, this megacity has been able to maintain its status as the "green lung" of the entire southern region of Ho Chi Minh City for years.
In the North, the most notable development in the realm of eco-friendly real estate is Vinhomes, a "super urban marine complex" that spans over 1,200 hectares.
Similar to Phu My Hung, Vinhomes also places a strong emphasis on low construction density. In the first phase of development, Vinhomes Ocean Park, the construction density is only about 19%. Moreover, all residential areas are surrounded by parks and a system of water features, such as lakes and sea-themed wonders, allowing residents to enjoy fresh, pure air on a daily basis.
While Phu My Hung has had the advantage of 30 years of development and refinement, Vinhomes Ocean Park, the "super-urban marine complex," has managed to create a distinct tropical environment in the heart of the capital in just four years of operation.
One notable aspect of Vinhomes Ocean Park is their prioritization of ecological space, as these areas are completed prior to the move-in of residents. For instance, the development boasts a 62-hectare green landscape, a central park called Empire Park covering over 7.5 hectares, and the Silk Park canal park, which is over 2.6 kilometers long and situated in Vinhomes Ocean Park 2.
Vinhomes Ocean Park is a prime example of how an investor can achieve an extraordinary feat by bringing the sea back to the heart of the city. This demonstrates the superiority of the developer's vision and their commitment to creating an innovative and sustainable living environment for residents.
Thanks to Vinhomes Ocean Park's innovative approach, a lively "sea paradise" has emerged in the East of Hanoi, featuring various amenities such as the 6.1-hectare Crystal Lagoon and the 24.5-hectare Pearl Lake. Additionally, the development includes the world's largest artificial wave-creating marine park complex, the over 18-hectare Royal Wave Park (located in Vinhomes Ocean Park 2 - The Empire) and Paradise Bay, which spans more than 12 hectares (located in Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 - The Crown).
Employees at Vinhomes Ocean Park and other eco-cities in Vietnam have the opportunity to work in green buildings that meet strict international standards, such as the TechnoPark Tower, which has been awarded the prestigious LEED Platinum certificate by the US Green Building Council. In addition, eco-city residents are encouraged to use environmentally friendly means of transportation, such as VinBus electric buses, VinFast electric scooters, or even bicycles for daily commuting.
Vinhomes Ocean Park offers a rare opportunity for residents to enjoy a full range of sports communities, from cycling, running, badminton, basketball, tennis, football, swimming, and even sailing, all within the heart of the project. This megacity is not just creating "green oases" but also transforming the lifestyle of residents towards a more healthy and positive direction.
The aforementioned factors make Vingroup's ecological megacities appealing to potential residents, acting as "magnets" that attract people to move in. As transportation infrastructure continues to develop, this trend is expected to grow even stronger.
